Looking For a Sign

I absolutely love it when readers of this blog share with me their experiences in their own journey toward Irrefutable Success. Today’s post is a prime example. A young lady in our community recently told me her story, and gave me her permission to pass it along to you.

This young lady was in the midst of a tough time, when she was surprised by a report from her doctor that she was pregnant.

At this point in her life, this wasn’t a good surprise.

Everything in her life would be deeply impacted by an unplanned baby. She didn’t know what to do or where to turn. She didn’t like any of the options available to her. What was she to do?

She did what many people do when facing an impossible choice: she asked for a sign.

It so happened that, in the moment when this request was heavy on her heart, she was waiting in the drive-through at Chick-fil-A. She certainly didn’t expect to see her sign right away, especially not in line at America’s Best Quick Service Restaurant!

Then, she noticed a bumper sticker on the car in front of her that read “Choose Life.” Immediately, she felt that this was the sign she had been waiting for.

She kept the baby, and today she is so happy to be a mom!

Now, the point I want to make here has nothing to do with Pro Life, Pro Choice, or any other Pro you’d care to debate. It has everything to do with looking for – and finding – a sign.

Many times, the sign is right there in front of you, but you’ll miss it if you aren’t looking for it. The car with the bumper sticker was there the entire time she was in line, but she didn’t see it until she began looking.

When you see the sign, you’ll know it’s meant for you because it will confirm what you already believed deep in your heart. Sometimes we need something external to draw the truth out of our confusion.

What are you looking for? Are you looking for a sign? Open your eyes, be fully aware of your surroundings, you just might be surprised at what you discover.

Follow your heart and let me know what you find.
